Lead Dental Assistant
I graduated from the dental assisting program at Porter and Chester Institute in 2007 and joined this team that same year. I became a certified dental assistant in 2008 and in 2013 I trained at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University with Dr. Graham to become a surgical assistant. I learned how to assist with dental implant surguries, which has become my passion, and I became a member of the Association for Dental Implant Auxilaries.
When I am not working, I enjoy hiking and gardening with my husband, and daughter, and taking care of our 13 chickens!
Treatment Coordinator/Patient Coordinator
I joined the team in 2015 and I keep the office organized and running smoothly by doing all the appointment scheduling. I also assist in insurance research and creating financial agreements that help our patients afford quality treatment. I really enjoy interacting with our patients. Our team is wonderful; they are all so caring and compassionate about what they do.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside with my husband and son.
I joined the practice in 1985 and I feel very fortunate and proud to work for Avon Wellness Dental Associates. Dr. Graham and Dr. Holden provide a learning environment for the whole team. Both doctors perform high quality dentistry. We all work together as a great team to take care of our patients and each other.
I am married with two grown children. I have rescue dogs and I am an avid Red Sox fan.
Dental Hygienist/Insurance Coordiantor
I joined the team in 2000, bringing with me 11 years of previous experience in dental hygiene. My favorite part of my job is taking care of my patients. I love seeing their oral health improve and how happy my patients get when they notice the improvement as well. All of our team members truly love what they do. We care about our patients’ well-being and want to give them the best treatment there is. When I'm not doing dental hygiene, l also file all the larger insurance claims, and follow up with the insurance companies to insure our patients are getting their maximum insurance benefit.
I have been married for 22 years and am blessed with a daughter and a son. I am very active in supporting their sports clubs, but I do enjoy baking and playing tennis in my free time.
I joined the team in 2016 and I help our patients with their insurance coverage and come up with a financial agreement that works for the patient and the practice. I aid in research into insurance plans for our patients so that they are knowledgeable about their coverage. My favorite part of my job is seeing patients walk out of the office with a smile on their face.
In my spare time, I really enjoy going for hikes. I taught kayaking and canoeing at a summer camp for seven years, and I love to surf.
I began my career at Avon Wellness Center in 1981 as an assistant, and became a dental hygienist in 1988. My job gives me a wonderful opportunity to build relationships with my patients and become friends with them, all while helping to improve their oral health. We have a wonderful, caring group of people here who truly love their work and keeping patients healthy.
My life is blessed with a teenage son and four rescue dogs. I often volunteer for the American Cancer Society and Farmington Valley Relay for Life. I also enjoy working with preschool children at Little Folks Corner in Simsbury.
I earned my Associate’s degree in Science and Certificate in Dental Hygiene in 1993, and joined our team in 1995. It’s been a pleasure to spend the majority of my career providing comprehensive care to our patients and being part of a team of committed professionals. We share the belief and mindset that optimum oral health is possible for our patients and that we have the skills, knowledge, and opportunity to facilitate that.
I am a mom of three amazing children. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, fitness, health promotion, and music.
I joined the team in 1998 and my ultimate goal here at Avon Wellness Center is to help patients feel great about their smiles. I am certified in Radiology and Infection Control and I completed the Orthodontic Assisting course through IAO New England and went on to teach the course for 5 years. It’s really rewarding to be a part of a team that takes care of each other just as much as we take care of our patients.
On the weekends you can ususally find me hanging out at my boat and spending time with my granddaughter.
As one of the welcoming faces at our front desk, I hope to make each patient feel welcome and at ease. I’ve always been interested in working with people to meet their overall health needs and originally earned my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Everyone here is very kind and caring, which goes a long way to create a comfortable atmosphere for our patients.
Dr. Graham and I have two grown daughters and two adorable grandsons. I like to spend my free time outdoors, golfing and walking. I am also a spiritual director and enjoy teaching yoga and meditation at the Retreat Center.
I have been with the practice since 1993 and I really enjoy that I can help people attain good oral health while staying within their budget.
I have been married for more than 35 years and have two adult daughters. I like to be outdoors: walking, hiking, biking, and swimming. My husband and I often travel to visit family in upstate New York and Texas.
